About the event

Located on the Usual and Accustomed lands of the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe, the “Mayfly” timber sale threatens the coastal Blanchard Mountain legacy forest. This forest is immediately adjacent to the Blanchard Core NRCA and is home to massive Douglas firs and Western redcedars. The timber sale is scheduled for auction in 2028.

Please join us on June 9th to visit the sale and raise awareness for our legacy forests.

Where: We'll meet at the Blanchard Mountain Trail Upper Parking Lot (48.61697243668242, -122.38576858073016)

When: 10am-1:00pm June 9th, 2024

What: This walk will be up to 3 miles roundtrip ON TRAIL. Elevation gain of ~550 feet.

Please bring water, snacks, shoes to hike in and the appropriate layers in case of rain. *DISCOVER PASS REQUIRED*
